Moree Cultural Art Foundation Board

BAMM is managed by the Moree Cultural Art Foundation. MCAF was established in 1987 to raise funds for the then Moree Plains Gallery. Originally operated by Moree Plains Shire Council, MCAF took ownership of gallery operations in 2001.

Our Board of Directors generously give their time to offer guidance, local knowledge and an additional layer of management to BAMM staff.

Volunteering at BAMM

Whether you like to be behind-the-scenes, or working with people, BAMM has a number of volunteer opportunities for you!

Depending on your interests and schedule, there are diverse ways to contribute to our operations.

BAMM is currently seeking volunteers for the following positions:

Visitor Services Representative
Our visitor services attendants welcome visitors to the Gallery, invite them to ask questions about current exhibitions, assist visitors in the Gallery Shop, record membership numbers and when needed help with administrative tasks. As the first point of contact, we ask that our visitor services attendants be friendly, have strong customer serve skills and are confident to work well with minimal supervision.

Looking for a one off opportunity? Have you considered volunteering for our annual Arts and Crafts Garden Market as part of the BAMM Art Fair.

Exhibition Guide
Our exhibition guides are integral to BAMM's education programs. Guides act as hands-on assistants during workshops and lead tours through our changing program of exhibitions. Orientation and training will be provided for each exhibition.

Each year we see exciting opportunities for individuals to get involved as guides for touring exhibitions from state and national art galleries, as well as our nationally significant collection!

Special Events and Fundraising

BAMM is actively seeking a dedicated team of volunteers to help plan and execute special events and fundraisers.

These events are intended to raise awareness in the community about BAMM and are meant to generate fundraising income to help us care for the permanent collection and provide high quality education programs. We are looking for individuals who want to make a substantial contribution to arts in Moree.

The special event and fundraising committee volunteers help with every step of the event organising process: from inspiring new ideas to hanging decorations. Some of our special events include our annual BAMM Art Fair and Moree Portrait Prize, as well as one off events such as the Archibald Prize and Spring Outdoor Cinema.

We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds who wish to share their time and skills with us. If you would like to get involved at BAMM, please get in touch with us on (02) 6757 3323 or contact us here
