BAMM holds one of the largest collections of contemporary Indigenous art in regional New South Wales. This collection is developed through purchases and generous donations.
This exhibition explores key works by Indigenous artists, with a strong focus of women from the Pintupi, Warlpiri, Anmatyarr and Alyawarre language groups.
The variations in style and subject matter showcase the unique cultural background and attitudes of each artist, and their use of art to preserve traditional knowledge, aspects of ceremonial practices and connections to Country.
