Our doors are closed but the arts remain open at BAMM!
To ensure the safety of visitors and staff, BAMM is closed to the public and all upcoming events and public programs have been cancelled or postponed until further notice.
Despite this, we will continue to work behind the scenes to keep you connected to artists, exhibitions and our collections online. For those looking for relief and encouragement, we hope that art can still have a place in your new daily life.
The Archibald Prize at BAMM has also moved online, and you can see a daily update on our social media using the hashtag #AnArchieaDay Much like an apple, we hope this will keep the doctor away.
Check out #museumfromhome and #museumwithoutwalls for more online art and history experiences from the comfort of your couch.
For those looking to support the arts during this period of change, we encourage you to continue engaging with BAMM and your regional artists.
- Follow BAMM and our regional artists on Facebook and Instagram
- Let us know that we are still being seen - share, comment, let us know what you would like from us digitally
- When BAMM returns to business as usual we hope you will be able to attend.
Alternatively, you can consider financially supporting BAMM through our Sponsor an Artwork program during the Archibald Prize. Our doors will be closed but we will continue to promote our generous supporters online as we experience the Archies online. We encourage you to explore art as a form of expression and release, both for yourself and your kids. Our collection, exhibitions and the art practice of creatives across the region will continue to be shared with you through BAMM's social media on Facebook, Instagram and our website.
This is an uncertain time for everyone, and our thoughts are with our extended family of artists and the arts industry, and our loyal community of
members, supporters, friends and visitors. In the mean time let's #flattenthecurve through art.
This is not a goodbye, just a see you soon.
Best wishes from the BAMM team.
